Description
a little WIP of the recently new look of spinosaurus. the study gives reasons for spinosaurus being a nearly completely aquatic, elongated theropod extremely short back legs that would of given it a quadruped stance( although the idea is not likely due to the forearms lacking the strength o support the animal on all fours)
I personally agree with scott hartmans and Jaime Headden thoughts about the leg proportions being a bit too short in the skeleton reconstruction, but heck, I actually like this new spinosaurus look. the idea of a quadruped theropod( fyi: this could of also been our first example of theropods converting from bipedal stances back into quadrupled stances) that swam like a crocodile and be an example of convergent evolution between it and our mammalian cetacean intrigues me. so this is a quick sketch based on the skeletal mount.
