tasty snack by spinosaurus1 tasty snack by spinosaurus1
a sketch i made during school. a spinosaurus fishes out an unfortunate mosasaur species to land where it would be consumed. this is based off of identified mosasaur teeth found in the kem kem formation. the size range of sed basal mosasaurs are believed to be around 6 meters in length. now for a bit of speculation. if they hypothetically were capable of swimming into fresh water similar to certain modern sharks such as bull sharks or even salt water crocodiles, chances are that they could of been prey for a certain 50 foot Goliath.

May i as well have the permission to floof , whisker and lip this? It will be a completely different spinosaurus with the same pose/wrinkles and similar trees.
As always, i'll give credit. Do you allow me to make your croc a huge birb? XD

Thank you so much!
Don't worry, i'll give full credit!
You're the only one that allowed me to copy their art! Really appreciate that!!!
Do you want the spino to have a certain color? Since this is going to be based on your idea, maybe you had also thought of one. If you haven't, i will improvise :P

your welcome. this is a rather old sketch from me and i'm not planning on revisiting it. it would be nice to see it colored though. you can take the liberty of deciding what colors you want to use. just notify me when you finished :)

So I'm not the only one to place rows of pebbly scales along its sides! I made a very quick drawing of this, which I have not placed on DA (I think). Coincidentally, we have nearly the same design, but mine was posed differently

Mosasaur?! I didn't know they were there then existed. Okay. You can let a small comment? I think it's primitive mosasaur (if it's mosasaur), means fish-like fin he has ever had.

it is a rather basal mosasaur, known from a few teeth from the kem kem formation. but also, it is unknown when mosasaurs started to evolve the tail fluke appendage and this would of been a rather large creature of over 20 feet.

Thanks for the info. I think that this tail fin developed in late Cretaceous forms. However, whether there was this fin all late mosasaurs is also unknown. Prints of this structure were found only at platecarpus, I remember.

that is correct. but i was hypocritical in the thought that it was only mosasaurs from platecarpus and up to only have the tail fluke. here, we have a moasaur of size comparable of platecarpus that happens to live several million years earlier.

Oh, by the way. I think that these early mosasaurs still had visible fingers.

yes. as the description says, this is only a small species of mosasaur, only reaching 6 meters in length. far smaller and a potential meal for a theropod of 15 meters in length.

Actually, that mosasaur could be Tethysaurus, because it lived at Morocco at quite close to the same time :).

Ever think that this species's walking was like a waddle and like a Pangolin with its forelimbs close to the ground? Did you know that about Pangolins?
